The blood on the shelves today helps during an emergency or crisis tomorrow. Blood is needed every day of the year. That’s why Rhode Island Blood Center is rewarding regular donors who step up to give with tiered gifts.
Give blood, give love. That’s the theme of this year’s donor rewards program—brainstormed by donors themselves! When you give blood, you give a gift that can’t be synthetically produced. Only eligible donors can help hospital patients in need.

Donors who achieve Level 1 or above will be able to choose one item – either an apparel item or an e-gift card that can be used at over 200 retailers.
Level 1 (4-5 credits) – Short sleeve t-shirt or $10 e-gift card
Level 2 (6-12 credits)- Long sleeve shirt or $20 e-gift card
Level 3 (13-24 credits) – Sweatshirt or $30 e-gift card
Level 4 (25-35 credits) – Quarter Zip Fleece or $40 e-gift card
Level 5 (36+ credits) – $50 e-gift card
Donors who earn Levels 2-5 may choose an apparel item from a lower level if they prefer that item.
Credits:
Whole Blood Donations = 1 credit
Double Red Cell Donation = 2 credits
Single Platelet Donation = 1
Double Platelet Donation = 2
Triple Platelet Donation = 3
DONOR REWARDS PROGRAM RULES
Donor credits accumulate from Jan 1 to Dec 31 of each calendar year. Credits are not transferable from year to year.
In January of each year, donors who qualified for the program will be notified by email or by mail of the rewards level they reached for the prior calendar year. Instructions on how to redeem a rewards item will be provided at that time. Once the redemption period is over, items will be ordered by Rhode Island Blood Center and sent to the address the donor provided at the time of redemption. Donors should expect to receive their gift in the springtime.
